Inspired by pro golfers photo, Tiger Woods, Golf Art transforms line drawing into steel sculptures. The process represents a blending of traditional blacksmithing forging and modern welding techniques. Each piece is made up of several, sometimes over 100, segments of steel that have been individually hand bent and welded together. The solid piece is then sanded and die ground, eliminating all of the visible weld joints. The piece is then sent off to a powder coating shop for a rust-resistant finish. Hand applied finishes are added to give the finished piece color and vibrancy.
